Dr. James Cannon, MBA, MS, PhD/DHA, PA-C is a compassionate, patient-centered clinician with the most up-to-date clinical knowledge and skills in the specialty of wellness/regenerative medicine and psychiatry. He has been in the healthcare field for more than 30 years, having served 31 years in the military as a senior leader and aviation medical officer. He transitioned to private practice after retiring in 2016.

Dr Cannon is a graduate of Arizona School of Health Sciences A.T. Still University, earning a Master of Science in PA Medicine with follow on board certifications in primary care (1997) and with additional training in the military, in psychiatry (2012) by the National Commission on the Certification of PAs (NCCPA).

Dr Cannon is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Associates while also holding multiple graduate degrees, including a Master of Business Administration to complicate his doctorate. Seeking further to refine his knowledge of bio-identical hormones and wellness, he completed an American Academy of Anti-Aging fellowship in functional and regenerative medicine with subsequent certification by the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners (ABAHP).

PA Cannon has been practicing medical weight loss (1997) and bioidentical hormone optimization (2008) for many years, applying relevant and effective treatments. In addition to having the privilege of caring for the most amazing family of patients, he serves as the CEO, overseeing Assure Wellness Group’s multi-state operations.
